At the start of the foundation and creation of the DAO, key roles were assigned to drive its mission. To fulfill our commitment to our members, we will initiate a HIP to further decentralize our DAO model. This HIP will have three stages:

HIP - Decentralize: (for Short: HIP-D)

Stage 1

It will consist of an OFF-chain “Request for Applicants” to the community to apply to key roles within the DAO.

Stage 2

The survey will consist of our initial council survey. This survey will review and advise on the community’s perception of the Emergent Council positions, as well as their productivity, engagement, dedication, and adherence to the DAO's bylaws and mission.

This is called:

Stage 3

It will consist of DAO voting. To ensure the future of the DAO, its vision and goals, and the transition from Emergent Governance to a more decentralized model, the voting of Councilors will be weighted per the breakdown below.

STAGE 1:

HIP-D:  Request for Applicants:

• The total number of openings will depend on the size of the community, growth patterns over the first year, and the time frame of member engagement/DAO membership.
  • This will allow a 1-year forecast model for openings in year 2.
• A detailed list of openings and required skills will be outlined in the HIP-Decentral and provided to the community via our Discord channel.
• Timelines to distribute the openings list trigger HIP-D requests for applicants/Invitations.
  • 1st Trigger - 12 months following the official start of the Emergence Governance.
  • 2nd Trigger - 15 months following the official start of the Emergence Governance.
  • 3rd Trigger – 18 months following the official start of the Emergence Governance.
    • If No responses are received concluding the above first request, the request frequency will increase to weekly as we move into the 2nd Trigger.
    • If No responses are received concluding the above 2nd request, the request frequency will increase to daily as we move into the 3rd Trigger.
• Response Time frame:
  • 10 Business days to apply from the date of the 3rd invitation.
  • After the 10-day window closes, all applications will have a 30-day review process.
  • In that time frame, Councilors from each Council group will review the merit of each application for its respective roles.
  • Approved applicants will be pooled in each Council's vault and added to the CODE Forum for transparency and voting later. ****
  • This will also be displayed on the DAO’s Dashboard for the community to view.
